Nick Roadnight

GCC based C-Suite Executive, Non-Executive Director, Independent Advisor and Interim Manager to the Architecture, Design, Consultancy and Construction Industry

Who Am I?

So, to introduce myself…..

I operate at multiple levels, from Non-Executive Director, through independent consultant to delivery leader.

I’m Nick Roadnight, and as my ‘tagline’ says, I’m a GCC based C-Suite Executive, Non-Executive Director, Independent Advisor and Interim Manager to the Architecture, Design, Consultancy and Construction Industry.
During my career, my focus has been very much on the design, engineering and construction space in a range of roles and sectors. I’ve built my knowledge both vertically and horizontally in this space and deliberately not specialized in any particular area in order to offer a broad and integrated set of skills, qualifications and experience to people like yourself.

Follow Me

I’ve worked within all major project stakeholders, including owners/developers through architects and design, engineering and management consultancies to construction companies and operators/facilities management providers.
I have held C-Suite leadership roles, formal Non-Executive Directorships, been an Independent Consultant/Advisor, a short-term Interim Manager and led specific teams (for example as Director of a PMO or PMC).

In terms of the project lifecycle, I’ve been involved across all RIBA stages, both individual Stage specific through to full lifecycle integration across all Stages.

As far as services are concerned, I’ve led teams running Program Management Offices (PMOs) and Project Management Consultants (PMCs), Independent Commercial, Cost and Claims Management Consultants (ICC) and physical construction teams.
Sector wise, I’ve advised on or led projects in the built environment (vertical and horizontal developments), power (generation, transmission and distribution), water (potable water storage, water treatment, treated sewage effluent and desalination), and transportation (roads, rail, airports and ports).
In terms of scale, projects have ranged from small (less than USD 50M) individual assets to very large (more than USD 100B) area developments.

Geographically, I have worked globally, including in the United Kingdom (power, water and defence infrastructure), Finland (nuclear power), United States (property, power transmission and distribution), Middle East, primarily in the GCC (all sectors except oil, gas and petrochemicals) and Asia (property and power infrastructure).

As you can see, my experience is quite diverse, and I believe this has resulted in an ability to provide broad, integrated support to you, wherever you sit in terms of stakeholder, project stage or service offering.

Now, whilst I give it my all at work, I do have to balance the rest of life!

I am married to Cris (an Adelaide gal) and we live in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

We enjoy together a range of social and sporting activities, including kitesurfing, sailing, scuba diving, cycling and of course travelling.

Aside from the normal range of holidays, we travel most years to the Hong Kong and Dubai Rugby 7’s as well as numerous Formula 1 Grand Prix events, with Singapore being our favorite race.

We have a great group of friends around the world and make sure that we have fun in everything we do, both work and leisure wise.
